EFE Elektronik- Forschungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft m.b.H. develops and produces very successful call systems for hospitals, retirement and nursing homes and security systems including cell call and cell communication systems for prisons, police stations and courts.
Our ideas and innovations have repeatedly set the standard in this area. Our range of services covers all steps from planning, development, production, sales, processing, installation, commissioning and handover, followed by staff training and system maintenance, all from a single source.

He transformed the company from its beginnings as a development office into an industrial enterprise. led. Matthias Rychetsky joined the family business in 2003. Today, as Managing Partner, he plays a key role in developing the company's vision.

Photovoltaic system on company building
The roof of the EFE company building in Mühltal is being equipped with a photovoltaic system with an output of 81.64 kWp. This will make it possible to cover EFE's annual electricity requirements with renewable, self-generated energy. EFE will thus become climate-neutral in this respect.

Dr.-Ing. Matthias Rychetsky joins the company
After completing a degree in electrical engineering and information technology at the Technical University of Darmstadt and a doctorate in the field of machine learning, Dr. Matthias Rychetsky worked for several years as a development engineer in the research and development department of Ericsson Eurolab. When he joined the family-owned company EFE, he first took on development tasks and then became managing director.

Opening of Chemnitz branch

Relocation to the Mühltal site on the Flachsröße
Just a few years after its foundation, EFE relocated its headquarters to Mühltal near Darmstadt. Initially, development work was carried out in the private home of founder Dr. Willi Rychetsky, but the company soon moved into a new building at its current location in Mühltal, at Flachsröße 3.
Since 1972
Call systems
Even before the company was founded, Dr. Willi Rychetsky was already developing nurse call systems for hospitals and other applications. Initially started as contract development, a separate product line was developed very quickly in the early years. In the meantime, this business area has been completely dominated by DIN VDE 0834, which we have played a decisive role in shaping.
We save lives - call systems from EFE in accordance with DIN VDE 0834 for patient safety.

Foundation
EFE Elektronik- Forschungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft m.b.H. is founded in Darmstadt by Dr. Willi Rychetsky. Today, this company would be considered a spin-off from the Technical University of Darmstadt to describe it. There is still a close connection to this and other universities.
The company was founded to carry out development contracts, bring innovative solutions from research to application, and to develop, produce and market electronic devices and systems.
The first company premises are located in Flotowstraße in Darmstadt.
