Double-action impulse switch
The double impulse switch contains three control circuits for program-controlled independent or linked switching of two separate normally open contacts. In addition to two control lines on the side to be protected, the device has an additional control input on the mains voltage side and can therefore also be switched by the building services via a keyed phase or neutral conductor connection. It is primarily used in the patient environment of hospitals and nursing wards and complies with the requirements of DIN VDE 0834 and the special requirements of medical supply units in accordance with EN60601-1 (2xMOPP). Operational safety is guaranteed even with long control cables in the vicinity of switched electromagnetic fields.
The device has its own internal power supply and is low-noise. The two voltage circuits to be switched can be assigned to different phases. The behavior of the output circuits (static on/off, pulse, interdependence, etc.) is program-dependent; up to 64 (also customer-specific) variants can be saved.
In the standard version, program 0 is set, which corresponds to two independent impulse switches. Alternatively, a program can be set at the factory or a design with a program switch (0-15) can be selected.
